What this website collects.

remastero.com uses Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to see which pages are read and where the site is hard to use. This page explains what they collect and how to turn them off. It covers this website, not the PGGB application.

Analytics

Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity.

Google Analytics counts page views and shows how visitors arrive, for example from a search engine or a forum post. It also records which links are followed, including download and purchase links, how far pages are scrolled, and the device, browser and approximate location (country or city) of each visit. Google Analytics does not store IP addresses. It sets two cookies, _ga and one that starts with _ga_, which last up to two years. Visit-level data is kept for 14 months. Google signals and advertising features are turned off.

Microsoft Clarity records clicks, scrolling and mouse movement on these pages and shows them to us as heatmaps and session replays. Text typed into forms and the search box is masked and is not recorded. Clarity sets two cookies on this site, _clck for one year and _clsk for one day, and keeps recordings for 30 days. Microsoft also sets its own cookies on clarity.ms and bing.com, such as MUID and CLID, which it uses to recognize a browser across sites that use its services.

We do not use either service for advertising, and we do not sell this data. Google and Microsoft process it as described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Your choice

Turn analytics on or off.

In the EU, the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, no analytics cookies are set until you allow them. Elsewhere, analytics are on until you turn them off here. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, analytics stay off.

Your choice is stored in this browser only. Clearing this site’s data in your browser resets it.

In your browser

Settings kept on your computer.

The site remembers your light or dark theme, your answers in the setup wizard and your Live configuration. These settings are kept in your browser’s local storage, not on a server.

Other sites

Downloads, purchases and forums.

Downloads come from GitHub, purchases go through PayPal, and many links lead to forums such as Audiophile Style and Head-Fi. Those sites have their own privacy policies.
